Elevation of the Host I
As we see here, the Priest lifts the Host (the Body of Christ) at the words 'Hoc est enim Corpus meum' ('this is my body' [which is given for you]) as an offering to God, and so that the people can see and adore it. Currently the organ stands where the rood (crucifix) would be, but the view is roughly the same.
